2010 Cross Country

It was the day of the Cross Country. I felt nervous and excited. We walked down with a tarpaulin to the front field and sat on the tarpaulins. Finally it was my turn. We lined up. I had butterflies in my stomach. Suddenly the blocks went and I sped into fourth. I was panting when I came round the last corner and went across the finish. I was so proud of myself. Yahoo! I came fourth

Kangaroos

Kangaroos are large animals which live in parts of Australia.
A joey is a baby kangaroo. At six months old the joey can take its first hops.
A mob is a large group os kangaroos. The strongest male in the mob is the boss. If another male kangaroo wants to be the boss they have a fight with their claws, feet and tail.
Kangaroos are not normal mammals. Kangaroos are marsupials. When a baby is born it pulls itself into its mother’s pouch with her fur.
